Prints St Agnes Jazz Festival 1998 poster

St Agnes Jazz Festival 1998 poster

from £95.00

🎷 St Agnes Jazz Festival 1998

“Brain Crumpet presents: A Special Music Weekend”

Held on the misty cliffs above Trevaunance Cove, the 1998 St Agnes International Experimental Jazz Festival remains one of the most confusing cultural events in Cornish history. Highlights included Charlie Mingus on the “Main Stage” (despite being long gone), an acoustic set from Flan Solo, and a surprise performance by Ronnie Cruton with a plastic wheelie bin.

Organised by local arts collective Brain Crumpet, the weekend was praised for its ambition and condemned for its sound bleed, plus an unadvertised warm-up set by Norris Meets Your Mum, a band that never officially formed and still refuse to admit they ever played at this festival.

This limited edition Giclée print captures the spirit of improvised mayhem and mid-’90s optimism.
